The injured child, now age 5 suffers from severe kidney damage, developmental delays and growth retardation because his mother was given Lotensin, a blood pressure medication during her pregnancy, and her obstetrician did not tell her to stop taking it or advise her of the risks of kidney damage to her unborn child if she continued to take it.
